Tickled Pink

I decided to visit Tickled Pink last week because I have heard so many good things about it. After I arrived and looked around, I thought to myself, “How have I never been here before? This place is amazing!” It was truly amazing. Tickled Pink is a vintage mecca!

Tony, one of the owners, was working when I arrived and was extremely friendly. With an American Pickers t-shirt on, I knew I was in the right place. He told me that they buy primarily from estate sales but also have people who run booths within the store.  This allows for a constant rotation of items. I learned from Tony that designers and stores come from not only Louisville but also Bowling Green, Lexington and Cincinnati to purchase items from Tickled Pink.

With almost everything in the store under $10, I knew I was going to be bringing some vintage items home. I bought a milk glass creamer pitcher, a set of owl salt and pepper shakers, a metal shelf and a metal LP holder. My total purchase was about $12. I call that a win!

Immediately walking into the store I was surrounded by Jadeite. It was so exciting! There must have been at least 20 sets of Jadeite salt and pepper shakers.

With three levels of vintage goodies I knew I would keep finding treasures. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take them all home.  Check out the beautiful Delphite dish below! I found it hiding in the basement.

Run by partners Tony and Ross, Tickled Pink has been around since the late 1980s. Their  store is located on Taylor Blvd. very close to Churchill Downs. They are open Sunday-Thursday 9:30AM-6PM. Make sure to visit often as items sell fast.
